PHPEdit is IDE (Integrated Development Environment) under windows to work with PHP. It offers a bunch of tools allowing you to work easier and faster on your each day work. Whenever you need to write pieces of source code and you only have Windows installed, without having additional applications, you will notice that it’s really difficult and inefficient to write your programming code in Notepad or Word pad. A much better application, specially designed for writing source code, is PHPEdit. Don’t be fooled by the program’s name, as it does not only support the PHP language, allowing you to write your desired source code in the most popular programming languages.

After installing and running the software, you will be prompted with a welcome screen, in which you can select the programming language which you would like to use. After this step is completed, you will be presented with the main interface of the program. On the left side of the interface, you will see all the files which make up your programming project and on the right, you will have the actual source code.

When writing the code, the program will automatically highlight the syntax, according to the type of function used. Thus, the user will be able to quickly find certain functions or pieces of code and will also be able to easily spot programming errors. Speaking about errors, PHPEdit includes some efficient tools for debugging source code and for quickly finding any error. For this, you can add breakpoints through the project.

After the code has been written, the user is able to save it as a file or upload it to a FTP server directly. Still, this feature requires entering the FTP server details.
