External Data Connector for SharePoint

External Data Connector for SharePoint is designed to help you import data to SharePoint from external sources, be it documents (CSV or XLSX files), databases (Oracle or SQL Server), other SharePoint lists or ODBC drivers. SharePoint 2010, 2013 and SharePoint online (based on Office 365) are all supported.

External Data Connector for SharePoint has three main functions. The first is to connect external data sources to Sharepoint libraries, which helps you sync content between Sharepoint users and offline storage drives. The query generator enables you to select the data you want to import to Sharepoint.

The second function is to export data from SharePoint, creating or updating files on your computer that can store all the information. Last, but not least, the application can help you modify the metadata of the SharePoint library.

With its help, outside data is easily transformed so as to match the SharePoint libraries and lists, regardless of the format it comes in. All the documents, tables and entries are imported to SharePoint and their metadata is updated upon user’s request, both in SharePoint and the data source.

Furthermore, the reverse operation can be also performed, since this application gives you the possibility to export SharePoint data to an external file and save it to your computer. This way, the content stored in SharePoint can be easily synchronized with offline data, turning External Data Connector for SharePoint into a worth-having application for any SharePoint user.

Thanks to the simple interface, working with the application should pose no problems. All the scheduled and interactive connections are displayed in an organized manner and the connection history can be easily accessed from the same main interface.
